So, what makes a Teacher of the Year? These extraordinary educators:

❤️ Model SBISD’s Core Values
📚 Are dedicated, knowledgeable, effective, and skilled
🌟 Earn the respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues
🏆 Demonstrate outstanding leadership and excellence
🎓 Support T-2-4 and show a commitment to SBISD’s beliefs
✨ Inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn
🏫 Play an active role in their school and the larger community

Our campus Teachers of the Year will now take the next step in their journey by applying for SBISD’s 2025 District Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year titles. The two district winners will then advance to compete at the regional level, with hopes of reaching state and national recognition!

In the coming weeks, our Teacher of the Year Committee will review applications and vote in April to select three elementary and three secondary finalists. After interviews later that month, two exceptional educators will be crowned SBISD’s 2025 Teachers of the Year!

As top district winners, these educators will receive:

🏆 A Golden Apple trophy
💰 A cash prize funded by First Community Credit Union & Sterling McCall Group
🎉 Additional awards and recognitions

Since 2018, SBISD has proudly celebrated four regional Teacher of the Year finalists and a Region IV Teacher of the Year—a testament to the excellence within our schools!

💌 This Valentine’s season, take a moment to share your appreciation for the teachers who make a difference every day. Their dedication and love for learning deserve all the gratitude in the world!
