The Spring Branch ISD Community Engagement team has announced Catalina Perez, from Westwood Elementary, as the March Teachers Driving Success winner.
“Catalina Perez is a new teacher to Westwood and a new teacher to the education field,” said Westwood Elementary Principal Criselda Chavez. “She has overcome the odds this year has brought her way, and she continues to seek feedback and make improvements to her teaching so she can continue to teach at high levels. She sets high goals for herself and her students, and she does all this with a smile. Catalina Perez is definitely driving success at Westwood Elementary!”
In recognition of her dedication and drive for success, Perez received a gas gift card and gift basket from Group 1 Automotive and Sterling McCall Toyota.
Teachers Driving Success is a monthly teacher appreciation program sponsored by SBISD Good Neighbor and partner Sterling McCall Group, which recognizes classroom teachers and their efforts to help students prosper.
Each month, principals are invited to nominate one classroom teacher from their campus for the way in which they are driving success. The Community Engagement team conducts a monthly lottery drawing from nominations received to choose the Teachers Driving Success award winner.
We thank Sterling McCall Group for their sustained support of our educators! Learn more about the Teachers Driving Success program.
