Kayman McIver enters her 19th year in education—all within SBISD—as Director of the Spring Branch Academic Institute (SBAI).

With a background rooted in both middle school and gifted education, she leads with a philosophy of authenticity.

“Leadership should be genuine. I show up as my true self—and I encourage others to do the same.”

Ms. McIver is passionate about expanding opportunities for advanced learners across SBAI’s three host campuses. She’s focused on building stronger connections and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible for students.

“We serve Every child. Every day. Every minute. Every way.—and that means pushing excellence, equity, and empathy in all we do.”

Outside of school, she brings her competitive spirit and creativity to everything from team-building to idea-generation.
