Alice Robison: Core Characteristics on the court
 

 

Memorial High School (MHS) freshman Alice Robison has a dream to attend Texas A&M University after graduation. “I would like to major in something in the medical field, but I haven't quite decided yet,” she said. “I want to do this because I have always loved science and math, and have dreamed about being a doctor for as long as I can remember.” 

Academic Highlight: Achieving all A grades in her advanced classes is a milestone Alice is proud of this year. “This matters to me because it helps me stay consistent and have a routine in my life,” she said.

Core Characteristic: Teamwork, whether in sports or other areas of her life, is a trait that defines Alice. “I show this through basketball by supporting and encouraging my teammates during practices and games,” said Alice. “I do my best to put my team first. I also bring this mindset into class by working well in groups, listening to others' ideas, and helping my friends and classmates when I can.” 

Programs & Activities: Being a part of basketball and advanced classes has taught me discipline, time management, and teamwork. These experiences have helped me become more confident and responsible.” 

Favorite Subject: Alice’s favorite subject in school is Biology. “There is always a right and wrong answer and it makes sense to me,” she said. Seeing how the science concepts connect to everyday life is enjoyable for Alice.

Favorite Staff Member at MHS: Coach T, Alice’s basketball coach, is a standout educator for the young athlete. “She believes in me when I don't believe in myself and motivates me to do my best,” said Alice.

Individuality: “I express my individuality through my work ethic, creativity, and positive attitude,” said Alice. “I also show who I am by being kind to others and staying true to the goals I set for myself.”

What She Loves About Her School: Alice appreciates the myriads of opportunities there are at MHS for students to get involved. “There is something for everyone,” she said. “It gives students different ways to stay busy and create new friendships.”
