A Katy native and former Division I quarterback, Haack brings a proven track record of success, innovative ideas, and a deep commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes.

“Coach Haack has a heart for kids and a vision for our program that blends tradition with fresh energy,” said Lisa Weir, Memorial High School principal. “I’m excited to see where he will take the Mustangs.”

Haack joins Memorial from Randle High School in Lamar Consolidated Independent School District, where he served as the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator. During his tenure, he helped guide the Lions to an undefeated 14-0 season and a 5A Division II state championship. His background also includes collegiate coaching experience at McNeese State and a standout playing career at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

"I am most excited about the opportunity to work with such a passionate and committed group of athletes, coaches and faculty here at Memorial High School," said Haack. "There's a real sense of pride in this community for Memorial High School, and I look forward to continuing to build that through our athletic programs and school."

Paige Hershey, Executive Director of Athletics for Spring Branch ISD, highlighted Haack’s passion for kids and commitment to put in the work necessary.“Coach Haack understands what it takes to build a successful program—both on and off the field. He’s a leader who is committed to building a championship culture at Memorial High School.”

Known for his relationship-driven coaching style, Haack plans to prioritize both athletic and personal growth for his student-athletes. His initiatives will include Recruitment Nights, youth camps, and events like “Breakfast with Moms” and “Decals with Dads” to foster community involvement.

“Memorial has a proud tradition, and I’m honored to lead the Mustangs,” Haack said. “It’s about more than just football—it’s about building young leaders and making the program a source of pride for the entire community.”

As the Mustangs prepare to take the field in their signature red and white under Coach Haack’s leadership, Memorial High School looks forward to a future that builds on its rich past while embracing new opportunities for growth and success.
