New Spring Branch ISD school board officers elected, new member sworn in

A new member of the Spring Branch ISD Board of Trustees was sworn in Tuesday, and the board elected new officers to help lead the 33,000-student school district in Houston.

Christopher Earnest was elected to the Position 4 seat on the board on May 1, and incumbent Minda Caesar was reelected to Position 3. Both were sworn in Tuesday. Board members welcomed the new member and pledged to work together for all of Spring Branch ISD’s students.

Earnest was joined at the ceremony by members of his family, who were warmly welcomed into the SBISD family.

The board reelected Chris Gonzalez as president. She has served on the board since 2012. Pam Goodson, who has been a board member since 2010, was elected vice president, and Karen Peck, a board member since 2013, was elected secretary.
