The Spring Branch ISD Community Engagement team has announced Annie Mitchell, a teacher from the Bendwood School, as the October Teachers Driving Success winner.
“Annie is passionate about student growth for all students and particularly that of our English Language Learners who are under-represented in SPIRAL programs,” said Bendwood Assistant Director Julie Johnson. “Annie is leading improved instructional practices across the campus through professional development. She is also furthering her education to be a leader in education with a focus on emergent bilingual students.”
In recognition of her dedication and drive for success, Mitchell received a gas gift card from Sterling McCall Group, the program sponsor.
Teachers Driving Success is a monthly teacher appreciation program sponsored by SBISD Good Neighbor and partner Sterling McCall Group, which recognizes classroom teachers and their efforts to help students prosper.
Each month, principals are invited to nominate one classroom teacher from their campus for the way in which they are driving success. The Community Engagement team conducts a monthly lottery drawing from nominations received to choose the Teachers Driving Success award winner.
We thank Sterling McCall Group for their sustained support of our educators! Learn more about the Teachers Driving Success program.
