Spring Branch ISD is hosting Parent U: Literacy Tips for My Primary Reader for kindergarten through second grade families to reinforce learning in the classroom on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. via Zoom. 

It is important to encourage literacy at home, as it strengthens students’ reading and writing skills. Taking part in literacy activities expands the student’s reading ability, comprehension and language skills. 

This Parent U session will provide attendees with tips on how to create literacy experiences at home through games, songs and even art. Placing an importance on literacy can have a profound impact on the development of the student.
