Project School Supplies delivers

Spring Branch Education Foundation’s Project School Supplies Delivers Nearly $100,000 in Essentials to Students Across SBISD

The Spring Branch Education Foundation (SBEF) has once again made a powerful impact through its annual Project School Supplies initiative, delivering nearly $100,000 worth of classroom necessities to students across Spring Branch ISD (SBISD).

The program ensures that children from lower-income households are equipped with the tools they need to learn, grow, and thrive—starting on day one.

With a mission to remove barriers to learning and promote equity in education, Project School Supplies supported both Title I and non-Title I campuses this year, delivering a remarkable array of supplies:

  • 5,832 backpacks
  • 108,408 pencils
  • 23,398 folders
  • 11,147 composition notebooks
  • 8,509 spiral notebooks
  • 15,403 boxes of markers, colored pencils, or crayons
  • 16,504 highlighters
  • 19,598 pens
  • 17,828 glue sticks
  • 6,369 pairs of scissors
  • Plus over 26,000 additional items including dry erase markers, lined and construction paper, erasers, pencil bags, and more.

“These aren’t just numbers on a spreadsheet,” said CeCe Thompson, Executive Director of SBEF. “They represent students who can now walk into their classrooms prepared—confident that they have what they need to participate, learn, and succeed. A backpack full of supplies can be the difference between starting behind and starting strong.”

Through Project School Supplies, SBEF helps bring to life the district’s Core Value that Every Child deserves the opportunity to achieve their full potential. For many families across the district, back-to-school season comes with tough financial decisions. This program relieves that burden and ensures students can focus on what matters most: learning.

This impact would not be possible without the generosity of the Spring Branch community. Individual donors, corporate sponsors, and volunteers came together once again to lift up SBISD students, demonstrating the power of partnership in public education.

SBEF, the district’s official nonprofit partner, plays a vital role in supporting strategic priorities and student success. From programs like Project School Supplies to scholarships and campus innovation grants, the Foundation helps build a stronger educational environment for all students.
