Spring Branch ISD Featured News

20 Spring Branch ISD students recently earned the Overall Award of Excellence recognition for their creative responses to the 2023-24 Reflections theme, “I am hopeful because…” Another 90+ students had their artwork honored with Award of Excellence, Award of Merit, Honorable Mention and Participation accolades. 

Since 1969, the National PTA Reflections program has encouraged students of all ages and abilities, in grades pre-Kindergarten through 12, to explore and be involved in the arts by submitting original works of art in the medium of their choice: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts while reflecting on a specific theme. 

Nearly 60,000 students participate in the program annually and less than 3% of those advance to Texas PTA. The entries that were named Overall Award of Excellence have advanced to the State level! Results from the State level will be announced on March 1, with the National round to follow.
