NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING OF SAFETY AND SECURITY COMMITTEE

Notice is hereby given that on May 27, 2020, the Safety and Security Committee of the Spring Branch Independent School District, will hold the Spring Semester Meeting at 10:00 AM via remote conferencing accessible at the meeting identification number and password located below. The subjects to be discussed are listed on the agenda, which is attached to and made part of this notice.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT BASED ON CURRENT GUIDANCE FROM FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY, AND CITY AUTHORITIES CONCERNING LARGE GATHERINGS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING DURING THE COVID-19 PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY AS WELL AS THE COUNTY’S STAY AT HOME, WORK SAFE ORDER, THE WAYNE F. SCHAPER SR. LEADERSHIP CENTER, INCLUDING THE BOARD ROOM IS CLOSED. THIS MEETING WILL BE HELD BY REMOTE CONFERENCING.

If during the course of the meeting covered by this Notice, the Safety and Security Committee should determine that a closed or executive meeting or session of the Safety and Security Committee is required, then such closed or executive meeting or session as authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.001 et seq. will be held by the Safety and Security Committee at that date, hour and place given in this Notice or as soon after the commencement of the meeting covered by this Notice as the Safety and Security Committee may conveniently meet in such closed or executive meeting or session concerning any and all purposes permitted by the Act, including, but not limited to the following sections and purposes:

Texas Government Code Section:

551.072 Discussing purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property.
551.076 Discussing a security audit, and the deployment, specific occasions for, or implementation of, security personnel or devices.

Should any final action, final decision, or final vote be required in the opinion of the Safety and Security Committee with regard to any matter considered in such closed or executive meeting or session, then the final action, final decision, or final vote shall be either:
(a) in the open meeting covered by the Notice upon the reconvening of the public meeting; or
(b) at a subsequent public meeting of the Safety and Security Committee upon notice thereof; as the Safety and Security Committee shall determine.

Notice of this meeting will be posted and emailed to the news media and an original copy posted outside and inside the display window of the bulletin board in the School District Administration Building and on the District website.
