Spring Branch Elementary students in grades 3 – 5 recently experienced a Reverse Job Shadowing Day hosted by district partners Junior Achievement and Dow Chemical Dupont.
Reverse job shadowing provides students with examples of future careers and information on how they can plan for and achieve college and career goals. Volunteer presenters shared details on the pathways needed for specific occupations and their educational journeys. A total of 14 classes participated in the day's activity. The partners will return in the spring semester to work with students at the campus in grades K – 2.
Junior Achievement and Dow Chemical Dupont support a range of programming in SBISD including The TAME STEM Trailer, Spring Branch Middle School's 8th Grade Career Day, field trips for Spring Woods High School science students, and several FIRST Lego Robotics clubs around the school district.
