Rummel Creek shows heart for Valentine’s Day
This month, students at Rummel Creek Elementary showed their caring and kindness by assembling Valentine Bags for the homeless. During their Valentine’s Day party, students decorated the bags and filled them with water, snacks, socks, sweet hand-written notes, and other items.
The items were generously donated by RCE students and parents.
This act of kindness exemplifies the RCE students’ Moral Compass and Collective Greatness – two of the SBISD Core Values.
Over 400 Valentine Bags were collected and handed out on the streets by Step Up Houston volunteers.
Step Up Houston is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping the homeless in Houston by providing clothing toiletries, tents and other necessities.
