Spring Branch ISD (SBISD) graduates continue to prove how strong academics and hands-on learning open doors to inspired futures. At the Guthrie Center, SBISD’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) learning hub, students gain real-world skills that translate directly into college and career success.

This summer, alumni reached out to share exciting updates. One of them, Breanna Allen, a 2025 graduate of Spring Woods High School, wrote to her former teacher, Architectural Design Instructor Fuad Loutfi, with big news: She has been accepted into the Department of Architecture at Texas A&M University—with a fall scholarship for her first year thanks to a project she completed while at Guthrie.

“I’m so very grateful for the opportunity you introduced us to, and more importantly, I’m very grateful to have had a teacher like yourself who was able to spark genuine curiosity and interest in architecture,” Allen said.

Another Guthrie graduate, Lexi Moidel, is now studying architecture at the University of Oregon, where she recently worked on a hands-on project designing a mass timber hospital. The experience not only strengthened her portfolio but also gave her valuable preparation for a growing career field in sustainable design.

Their stories are just two examples of how Guthrie Center students leave SBISD prepared, confident and inspired to chase their dreams.
