SBISD Announces New Memorial Drive Elementary Principal
 
 
 
Spring Branch ISD is pleased to name Kathleen Jeremiassen as the new principal at Memorial Drive Elementary School.
 
Principal Jeremiassen has 12 years of public education service. For the past five years, she was assistant principal at Scanlan Oaks Elementary School in Fort Bend ISD.
                                                                                   
She was a teacher for several years at Samuel Miles Frost and Susanna Dickinson elementary schools in Lamar CISD, and was math and science facilitator and testing coordinator for four years also in Lamar CISD.
 
She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, in New Brunswick, N.J. She later earned both master’s and doctoral degrees in educational leadership, respectively, from the University of Houston(UH)-Victoria and UH-Clear Lake.
 
 
“I am so excited to be the new principal at Memorial Drive Elementary,” Principal Jeremiassen said. “I want to welcome all parents, students and staff to the new school year. Your input is important to the success of our school, and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you.”
 
Opportunities for parents to meet the new principal and the teachers and staff will be posted online or through social media. “We’re going to have a great year, and I look so forward to meeting each of you.”
