In her own words . . .

“I am most passionate about teaching in Tittle 1 schools, [and] . . . have actively sought jobs in such schools with heavy bilingual populations. I am an advocate for all Second Language learners and students from lower-income families. I am constantly striving to keep those students as academically advanced as their peers.”

“I want every child who comes through my classroom to leave with the academics and social skills needed to achieve whatever goals and dreams they have for their future, regardless of where they come from.”

In the words of others . . .

“Focused, enthusiastic and determined are words that come to mind when I think of Michelle Clements as a teacher. Michelle teaches first grade at Housman Elementary, and through the interactive classroom she creates, her students are thriving.”

Lindy Robertson, Housman Elementary Principal

“Each day, Michelle comes with the mindset that this is not just her job, but her mission. She sets her needs aside and approaches each adult and student with respect and positivity. She commits all of her efforts into every lesson, radiating genuine enthusiasm for even the most mundane of content. Her students are excited to learn, and after school, I often hear excited discussion about what they did in class.”
