What sport do you participate in and why did you decide to begin participating?
I play golf at Memorial High School. I decided to begin playing because both my parents are big golfers and they got me into it at a young age.
What do you like most about participating in athletics at Memorial High?
I love the team aspect of high school golf because golf is usually an independent sport.
What Core Characteristic(s) have you developed most by being part of your sport?
I think I would say golf has helped me become Persistent & Adaptable on and off the course. It has taught me to work hard and how to figure things out.
How has your coach helped you or inspired you in the sport?
I have had two great coaches during my time at Memorial High, Coach Brady and Coach Martin. They have both pushed me to be a better player as well as a leader.
What has been your favorite moment(s) as a student-athlete at Memorial High?
My favorite memory so far was my junior year when we finished third at state. We were on the hunt with a chance to win going into the second day and it was such a blast to compete with the guys!
How do you think participating in athletics will prepare you for post-grad?
Being a student-athlete will help me with time management and hard work. I have had to balance school and golf and will do the same after high school.
What are your post-grad plans?
My post grad plans are to play golf at Texas Christian University (TCU)!
