Spring Branch ISD and Caissa K12 Partnership brings 164 students to district

Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD) is proud to announce 164 additional students enrolled in the district for the 2024-2025 school year, thanks to its new partnership with Caissa K12

In efforts to expand the district’s enrollment strategies and extend the impact of the district’s small communications and marketing team, SBISD began working with Caissa K12 last spring. Caissa K12 supported the district through a multi-month recruitment campaign and a separate no-show campaign to reach families whose students had not returned to school this fall as expected.

“First and foremost, we are pleased to welcome these students and families to SBISD to benefit from the outstanding academic and extracurricular experiences the district offers,” affirmed SBISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jennifer Blaine.

“A recent report from the Texas Education Agency affirms SBISD’s Relative Performance ranks in the 92nd percentile when compared to 98 districts with similar demographics across the state. Additionally, district performance on state assessments and other measures of success such as kindergarten readiness, third-grade reading, eight-grade math, and Advanced Placement® exams places SBISD in the top spot when compared to other districts in Houston according to the local non-profit Good Reason Houston’s Data Dashboard,” Dr. Blaine also noted.

The district’s proactive approach to student recruitment also benefited the district’s bottom line, yielding increased resources and opportunities for all. SBISD will net $856,900 as a result of this strategic partnership. (Calculated based on the state’s per student funding model, net of the $935 per student fee Caissa K12 charges the district for recruited students who remain enrolled through the state’s snapshot date at the end of October.)

“We are very grateful for this new partnership with Caissa K12. Most importantly, we are very excited to have these students learn, grow and benefit from the excellent educational experiences they will have as members of the Spring Branch ISD Family,” stated Linda Buchman, SBISD’s Associate Superintendent for Communications and Community Engagement.
