Spring Branch ISD team wins 13 state-level awards
TSPRA Star Awards

Spring Branch ISD Communications and Community Relations staff members won 13 separate awards during the recently held annual meeting of the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA).

The awards recognize excellence in the communications field during the 2018-2019 school year, including a Platinum Certificate of Merit based on the district’s recently redesigned website.

The SBISD team’s awards also included seven Gold Stars, five Silver Stars and one Bronze Star issued in the broad program of competition involving print, electronic and visual media.

TSPRA awards were announced Feb. 24 with additional top winners announced during the association’s Star Awards conference banquet. This year’s conference was held Feb. 24-27 at the Omni Barton Creek Resort in Austin.

All submission are evaluated by outside judges. Winners are determined by using TSPRA established criteria. School districts in Texas compete in three categories based on total student population. SBISD competes in the More Than 30,000 Students division, which includes the largest urban school districts in Texas.
