Spring Branch ISD to Host COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics Saturday, Nov. 13

Shots Available for 5 to 11 Year Olds

Nov. 10, 2021 – Spring Branch ISD will host free COVID-19 vaccination clinics Saturday at three schools for community members and students and will for the first time offer the shots to children ages 5 to 11.

The clinics will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Spring Branch Elementary School, 1700 Campbell Road, Meadow Wood Elementary School, 14230 Memorial Drive, and Northbrook Middle School, 3030 Rosefield Drive, all in Houston. No appointments are necessary.

Persons who received their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine at Spring Branch ISD schools on Oct. 23 should return for their second shot. First doses and booster shots also will be available, in addition to the vaccines for ages 5 to 11.

Second shots for those receiving their first dose on Nov. 13 will take place on Dec. 4 at Spring Branch Elementary School, 1700 Campbell Road and Meadow Wood Elementary School, 14230 Memorial Drive.

The clinics are being held in partnership with the Harris County Health Department, which is scheduled to provide the vaccines and the staff to administer them.  All three Spring Branch ISD clinics will be held in the school cafeterias.

Earlier this month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approved the vaccine for children ages 5 to 11.
