Spring Branch ISD to Host Job Fair for Seniors, Welcomes Businesses

Spring Branch Independent School District's (SBISD) Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department is gearing up to host a job fair event tailored specifically for graduating seniors.

Scheduled for Friday, May 3rd, from 8:45 AM to 1:45 PM at the Hyatt Regency Houston West, located at 13210 Katy Freeway, the event signifies SBISD's dedication to preparing students for success and fostering their abilities to excel and achieve their T-2-4 goals, embodying the district's vision for Every Child.

The event promises to be a pivotal moment for the Class of 2024, with numerous businesses and organizations participating. Students can anticipate a spectrum of opportunities, including internships, apprenticeships, job training, part-time and full-time employment, onsite interviews, and even immediate hiring.

Additionally, a headshot booth will be available for students to acquire professional photos for platforms like LinkedIn.

Christina RiceImumwen, SBISD Director of Career and Technical Education, emphasized the event's transformative potential. "With a mission to equip students with the knowledge and confidence necessary for informed career decisions, the event is poised to be a transformative experience," she stated.

For families and students, the message is clear: seize this opportunity to engage with businesses eager to invest in your future. Attendees are advised to come prepared with resumes highlighting their skills and experiences, dress professionally, and actively engage with potential employers. Such skills are vital for post-secondary education and future career success.

Recruitment and registration are currently underway, with each high school allocated 90 spaces. SBISD seniors interested in participating can conveniently register via the Google form accessible at www.tinyurl.com/SBISDSeniorJobFair.
