We congratulate Jamie Flint, science teacher at Spring Woods High School, for being named a regional winner in the annual Shell Science Lab Regional Challenge.
Flint, one of 24 regional winners selected for her innovative approach to science education, was recently awarded a banner recognizing her achievement.
The Shell Science Lab Regional Challenge, sponsored by Shell USA and administered by the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA), celebrates K–12 teachers who have creatively delivered high-quality lab experiences despite limited resources. Flint’s commitment to providing engaging, hands-on science education is inspiring the next generation of scientists and innovators.
Flint is among the winners in the Houston region, receiving a $20,000 science lab makeover to support her continued efforts in fostering student interest and success in science. These awards, which include additional prizes for national winners, help teachers enhance their classrooms and inspire students in new ways.
We also extend our congratulations to all the other winners who are making a significant impact in classrooms across the nation. Their creativity, resourcefulness, and dedication are shaping the future of science education, and we are proud to have one of them right here in our Spring Branch ISD community.
Congratulations again to Jamie Flint, and thank you for your continued dedication to inspiring future scientists!
