Stacey Weirich, M.Ed., a dedicated member of the Spring Branch ISD (SBISD) community, plays a crucial role in enhancing the district’s mathematics programs.
A Journey in Education
Weirich's path into education began unexpectedly. “I started my career in the business world, but after tutoring a neighbor’s child in middle school math, I discovered a true passion for teaching,” Weirich shared. “Listening to my sisters discuss their educational experiences and realizing how much I enjoyed teaching mathematics inspired me to shift into public education.”
Roots in SBISD
As a lifelong resident of SBISD, Weirich’s commitment to the district runs deep. “I was born and raised in SBISD, and my mother and both of my sisters have also worked within the district,” she said. “SBISD truly feels like home to me, and all our children have attended SBISD schools.”
In her current role, Weirich focuses on developing essential numeracy skills among students. “My vision is to help students build a strong foundation in math and foster a genuine love for the subject,” Weirich explained. “I want them to excel in their math classes and carry those skills beyond school.”
Supporting T-2-4 and District Priorities
Weirich’s work is aligned with the district’s T-2-4 vision and priorities. She and her team are dedicated to refining the math curriculum to ensure it supports students across all grade levels. “Our program aims to build a solid mathematical foundation that prepares students for success in technical degrees, two-year colleges, or four-year universities,” Weirich emphasized.
