Summer Reading Challenge top readers recognized at August 23, 2021
Spring Branch ISD Board of Trustees meeting

Reading is a key priority for student success in Spring Branch ISD. To encourage reading during the summer break, the Library & Media Services department sponsored a Summer Reading Challenge. In total, students logged more than 230,000 minutes of reading this summer covering more than 15,000 different books!

Students who logged minutes of reading in Beanstack were entered into weekly drawings for reading goody bags. Those with at least 1,000 minutes logged by August 13 were entered into drawings for grand prizes in the elementary, middle and high school categories. Goody bag items and grand prizes were provided by the Spring Branch Education Foundation.
