The Spring Branch ISD (SBISD) Superintendent of Schools and the Communications and Community Relations Division received multiple awards at the 2024 National School Public Relations Awards competition.
Dr. Jennifer Blaine, SBISD Superintendent of Schools, earned the Bob Grossman Leadership in School Communications Award for her outstanding leadership in public relations and communication within education. The recognition was announced earlier this spring, and Dr. Blaine was formally honored at the NSPRA conference in Seattle, Washington, this summer.
"I am deeply honored and humbled to receive this award, which symbolizes a legacy of excellence in communication," said Dr. Blaine. "Sharing our story with leaders from across the country and focusing on strengthening our collective efforts for children is truly amazing. I couldn't be prouder."
Additionally, SBISD's Communications team earned several national accolades, demonstrating their commitment and excellence:
- 2024 Golden Achievement Award for their Comprehensive Strategic, Year-Round Communication Program
- 2024 NSPRA Award of Excellence for the SBISD Website
- 2024 NSPRA Award of Merit in the Photo Category
- Multiple 2024 NSPRA Honorable Mentions, including for video series, a special purpose publication, and social media planning.
Linda Buchman, Associate Superintendent for Communications and Community Engagement, highlighted the critical role of communication in fostering genuine and effective engagement, "Effective communication goes beyond mere information sharing; it's about nurturing relationships and promoting mutual understanding within our community. I am immensely proud of this acknowledgment for Dr. Blaine, our team, and the entire district community."
