Teachers Driving Success celebrations kick-off with Westwood Elementary first-year teacher named October winner

The Spring Branch ISD Community Engagement team has announced Mckenzie Sigle, a fourth-grade teacher from Westwood Elementary, as the October Teachers Driving Success winner.

“I am so excited to have been chosen,” said Sigle. “It has been great to work in SBISD. I look forward to helping my students daily and it is very rewarding to watch them grow.”

In recognition of her dedication and drive for success, Sigle received a $350 gas gift card from Sterling McCall Group, the program sponsor.

“Ms. Sigle goes above and beyond daily. She always includes all students and ensures there are no barriers to their learning,” said Criselda Chavez, Westwood principal. “She maximizes instructional time and is always very positive, she is a great example to follow!”

Teachers Driving Success is a monthly teacher appreciation program sponsored by SBISD Good Neighbor and partner Sterling McCall Group, which recognizes classroom teachers and their efforts to help students prosper.

Each month, principals are invited to nominate one classroom teacher from their campus for the way in which they are driving success. The Community Engagement team conducts a monthly lottery drawing from nominations received to choose the Teachers Driving Success award winner.

We thank Sterling McCall Group for their sustained support of our educators! Learn more about the Teachers Driving Success program
