Spring Branch ISD (SBISD) is pleased to announce that Cristina Espinoza, an art teacher at Buffalo Creek Elementary (BCE), is the November recipient of the Teachers Driving Success Award.
Sponsored by Group 1 Automotive and Genesis of Southwest Houston, the award celebrates educators who go above and beyond to inspire student achievement and create meaningful educational experiences.
Espinoza was presented with a $300 gift card and a gift basket during a special ceremony earlier this week in recognition of her exceptional contributions to BCE. Principal Carrmilla Young commended Espinoza for her impact on the school’s art program.
“Ms. Espinoza has breathed new life into our art program,” Young said. “Walking into the art classroom is a joy. All students are actively engaged in creative thinking, discourse, and the production of art. They beam with pride as their work and meaningful messages are displayed. Ms. Espinoza is not only an excellent art teacher but also our specials team leader, continuously seeking ways to help and improve our school.”
Espinoza’s passion, creativity, and leadership have made her a beloved member of the BCE community.
The Spring Branch ISD Community Engagement team extends its sincere thanks to Group 1 Automotive and Genesis of Southwest Houston for their continued support of the Teachers Driving Success program.
We are proud to celebrate Espinoza and are grateful for the dedication of educators like her who make a lasting impact in our schools.
