The Rockets, Nike & Game Growers - Apply today!

The Houston Rockets are thrilled to announce that they've joined Nike to launch Game Growers, a nationwide initiative focused on getting more girls involved in sports in their local communities. Eighth-grade girls throughout the country can participate in the Game Grower program.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

  • From now through Nov. 15, eighth-grade girls can submit their ideas to grow basketball participation in their communities by applying online. The winners will be announced in December 2019.  Girls work in teams of two (2).

HOUSTON GAME GROWERS SELECTIONS

  • Girls work in teams of two (2). Nike will review all on-line submissions, select several as finalists, and refer them to the Rockets.
  • The Rockets will then choose the final team to attend the Game Growers Training Camp at Nike's World Headquarters, located in Portland, Oregon in January 2020.  All members of the Game Growers Team (girls and their respective parent/guardian) are available and commit to attend the Game Growers Training Camp at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, OR, January 24-26, 2020 (Coach Class Travel, lodging, and meal costs will be covered by Nike).  A Rockets representative will accompany the group as well.
