Dear SBISD Families,

Based on the forecast for severe winter weather across the region and state early next week, SBISD has made the following decisions:

• Monday, February 15, remains a student holiday per our district calendar. All district facilities will be closed.
• Tuesday, February 16, will be a remote/asynchronous learning day for all students and staff.
  • This means all students will learn from home.
  • There will be no live instruction on Tuesday.
  • Assignments will be posted in itslearning.
  • Students should log into itslearning to view assignments.
  • We know that families and staff may lose power. Teachers will be flexible and understanding regarding assignments for Tuesday.
  • There will be no meal pick up for distance learners on Tuesday.
• Extracurricular Activities are cancelled for Monday and Tuesday.

The district will make a determination about Wednesday as we continue to monitor the weather throughout the weekend and early part of next week.

Please stay safe, warm and careful. Roads will be hazardous and weather will be very cold.
