Choice and Payment

What are my choices for virtual classwork?

"During the School Day" Registration

Students start the registration process by meeting with their counselor and discussing their options

The counselor enrolls the student in a Virtual Lab period.  The Virtual Lab period is a designated time during the student's schedule that they will work on the virtual class that they wish to take.

"Out of the School Day" Registration

A student taking a virtual course outside of the regular school will be a charged a fee of $200. Students start the registration process by meeting with their counselor and discussing their options

The counselor enrolls the student in the specified virtual course. Enrollment triggers a fee email. The student's parent can submit payment online, in person, or by mail.
Payments can be made online through the online credit card payment system, as stated in the fee letter. All non-cash payments (i.e., check or cashier's check) can be mailed or brought the Technology Training Center, 14330 Memorial Drive, between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm Monday - Friday.

Summer Registration

Students can take courses during Summer School through the Virtual School. Students signing up for this option will take an additional course beyond what is offered in the regular school year. These students will receive the same online support from the course teacher as those during the school day.

Students will not have a staff member monitoring their daily activities in the summer course. The tuition requirement is the same as that of the "out of school day" option.

Grades earned in the summer option are not subject to UIL no pass - no play eligibility rules and do not count in GPA calculations. Summer virtual courses do not meet NCAA Clearinghouse standards.

It's about CHOICE.

Students can elect to take a virtual class:
