In Spring Branch ISD, we believe that every book opened is a world unlocked.
Our SBISD Police Officers and their loyal K-9 partners — led by Don, our Literacy Pup — are on a mission
to inspire a love of reading, one page at a time.
When students are spotted reading around campus, they just might get a Caught You Reading! ticket
from a visiting officer or K-9. Turn your ticket in at the front office to enter our monthly
prize drawing for a reading session with a real SBISD Police Officer and K-9 partner!

Achieving Spring Branch T-2-4 for Every Child requires a strong emphasis on literacy. In Spring Branch ISD, our goal is for students to read at or above grade level by the beginning of third grade and maintain proficiency in Language Arts throughout their education.
