Summer Reading
Beat the summer reading slide!
During the summer, students can lose up to two months of reading skills. Summer reading helps kids and teens read and learn all summer! This helps keep their skills up - and have fun. Reading six books during the summer may reduce summer reading regression.
What can our students do to reduce summer reading loss?
Choose and read books from our Summer Reading Lists. These "top picks" lists have been curated by our librarians, with SBISD students, specifically, in mind. What topics intrigue our students? What books are popular, current and new? To find out, check out our Summer Reading Lists!
