Camp Course Descriptions
Cooking
Does your child LOVE to cook? Join Us for a hands-on cooking class. Students will gain self-confidence, life skills, independence and creativity while enjoying this fun cooking class. This class can accommodate nut allergies only.
Week 1: United We Bake.
In recent years, a renewed interest in baking has swept both the USA and the UK due to television shows such as, ‘The Great British Baking Show’ and ‘The American Baking Competition.’ This camp provides new recipes for young bakers to practice their pastry making, cookie baking and kneading skills. This camp accommodates nut allergies only.
Week 2: Taste the Globe.
Be a culinary globe trekker as we learn about cuisines from around the world. We’ll travel the globe learning different recipes from different cultures...it’s a big world; let’s eat together! This camp accommodates nut allergies only.
Week 3: From Appetizer to Dessert: A Foodie Feast!
This camp will take the stress out of making a multiple course meal. By the end of the week, young chefs will know how to make and personalize appetizers, bread rolls, a side dish, main dish and dessert. This camp teaches invaluable, lifelong skills and is a great confidence builder as students learn how to plan a meal for family and friends. Perfect for a Foodie Feast! This camp accommodates nut allergies only.
Week 4: America the Delicious
Regional dishes. From Florida’s famous key lime pie to Alaska’s salmon cheese balls, students will experience a variety of dishes and cooking techniques and will even learn some geography along the way! This camp accommodates nut allergies only.
Legos
Week 1 and 2: LEGO 1 (Grades K -2)
Using LEGO Duplo and K’NEX students will have the opportunity to build simple machines that really work, while building fine motor skills and confidence. We will build new and exciting machines each day, we will recite poems with hand motions for gears, levers and pulleys that reinforce how they work and what they do.
Week 3 and 4: LEGO 2 (Grades 3 – 4)
Using the newest LEGO, campers will challenge each other to create, build, and test their best designs. They will learn why a machine works and how to manipulate it to go faster or slower. There will be refinement of motor skills, critical thinking skills, imagination, and confidence with full-filled class atmosphere.

Week 1: Around the Wondrous World
Get your summer fun started at iKids Camp with a festival exploring the amazingly different parts of the world! Our world travelers will get to learn about different cultures, how people greet each other, their climates, unique traditions, dances, and much, much more! Week 3: Literary Luau Hula on over to iKids Island for a Literary Luau to refresh some skills before school starts! Each day we’ll have fun celebrating a variety of book types from Fairy Tales to Mysteries! We’ll learn about different genres, creative writing, and illustrating to inspire our readers and writers! Week 4: Cirque Du Summer 2022
Round out summer with iKids U and some high-flying fun in our Cirque du Summer 2022 week long circus-themed camp for kids! Our students will enjoy multi-media, creative, and physical activities as together we learn all about getting carried away with the circus. Team Building, Leadership, & Problem Solving
Students learn an abundant amount of team building, leadership and problem-solving skills through a theme-based camp experience. Our favorite way to learn is through play. You are guaranteed to leave with new friends.
Week 1: The Thrill of It
Do you love a challenge? Come seek some thrills this summer and test out your level of braveness! Students will participate in personal challenges, group skills, heart pounding experiences and more! Activities range from physical to engineering to mental strengths and physics! Join us for a week of letting go of the fear!
Week 2: Wreck It Up
How do video games, crafts, and leadership all go together? Come join the Wreck It Up week to find out! Okay wrecking ball, “wreck” the art canvas, and sing the Wrecking song while using your creativity to build new creations and friendships!
Week 3: Science Explosion
Egg experiments, tie-dye, exploding candy and more! Teams will work together to complete a fun-filled week of activities. Science and art mix together makes one exciting time!
Week 4: Galaxy Challenge
Are you ready to solve the mysteries of the galaxy? From superheroes to science, this week will be packed with fun. Students will explore concepts of the universe and work together to solve problems as a team. Identify your favorite superhero and incorporate their skills into saving the galaxy!
Sign Language
Week 1 Only: Sign Buddies
Can you imagine talking with signs? We will use visual-gestural environment to teach how to communicate with others. This exciting four day class is for those who know very little or no American Sign Language
Drama and Creative Writing
Week 1 Only: Young Creators Studio
Do you love to write stories? Do you want to express your creativity through storytelling? You will be able to act out your story, practice monologues and scenes with others.
Coding
Week 1 Only: Cub Coders
Younger coders will learn with block-based platforms, such as Scratch or CoSpaces. We will use exclusive themes (such as Animals, Sport and Magic) that engage children’s imagination and make coding even more fun.
Girls in Action
Week 1 Only: #GirlBoss is created for our 3rd & 4th grade girls
This program is designed encourage and empower girls to lead healthy lives through healthy self-image and the development of character education and classroom skill development.
Art
Week 1 -4: Crayola Imagine Art Academy
Who doesn’t love Crayola!!! Campers will be able to create wonderful pieces of art using their favorite materials “Crayola”

Camp Course Descriptions
Engineering (Grades 5-11)
Camp Engineering ignites the imagination with experiential learning in a fun-filled environment. During the program, campers will have a hands-on simulation of coding a virtual robot every day. During the second part of the day, they will design, build, and operate a cable car and Air Skimmer. They will work as a team to find the most economical way to build the highest tower made of spaghetti and marshmallows. Each day offers hands-on activities and intriguing problems to solve.
Architecture (Grades 5 - 11)
Equip, Empower and Educate at Camp Architecture. Students will use architectural design and engineering techniques to build a scaled model of a house.
Entrepreneurship Shark Tank (Grades 5 -8) Week 1
Shark Tank Middles School offers engaging activities to guide the entrepreneurial process, from idea generation to pitching a business Students are invited to create a product and present the idea. Campers will express their strengths, capabilities, skills, and interests.
Entrepreneurship Shark Tank (Grades 9 – 11) Week 2
Explore the World of Business at Entrepreneurship Shark Tank Camp. Students are invited to learn how to build a business plan and become entrepreneurs. Activities include how to launch and run a business.
Health Science (Grades 5 - 11)
Do you enjoy science? Have you ever considered a career in health or medicine? This introductory Health Science Camp will allow campers the opportunity to learn the amazing organization of the human body and how it functions. Campers will also learn about coping with a deficiency within the body. They will invent and use medical instruments. This is your opportunity to get a real look at a health care career in the medical field! Campers will explore the invention of prosthetic limbs, human organ garments, brain caps, Human blood and how it is made, and 24-hour patient care.
Crime Scene Investigation (Grades 5 - 11)
Can you solve this mystery? Explore how investigators in criminal justice solve crimes, including the tools and materials they use.
Cosmetology (Grades 5 - 11)
Future Cosmetologists will explore the arts and science of the beauty industry while learning the fundamentals of hair care, skin care, nail care, makeup, fashion, and the latest industry trends. Campers will learn life skills, the building of self-esteem, self-care, self-confidence, healthy friendships, important beauty habits and tips, entrepreneurship, and how teamwork makes the dream work. Camp class and workshops include live demonstrations, team building activities, “Anything But Hair,” “Make Me Over,” “We Nailed it,” “It’s Braid Time,” arts, crafts, and more.
Graphic Design (Grades 5 - 11)
Have you always wanted to design your own t-shirt? Here is your chance to use an iPad to explore the tools available in the Adobe Creative Suite.
Animation (Grades 5 - 11)
Camp Animation teaches the magic of animation using simple 2D characters and 2D objects. Design and animate your favorite characters.
Culinary (Grades 5 - 11)
Come join us for first-class instruction and lots of cuisine exploration in Guthrie Center’s professional, industry-standard kitchen. Our facility is stocked with pro equipment geared to create endless culinary possibilities. We will feature numerous in-kitchen demos and provide lots of hands-on cooking time as we work through a multitude of delicious and fun recipes! Skill-building and culinary techniques are taught every day. We will actively engage all learners, spark creativity, and create recipes for culinary success! We welcome and accept all skill levels! Anyone with love for food will enjoy our time together. Come be a student chef and explore all that culinary camp has to offer!
Floral Design (Grades 5 - 11)
Join us for a week of learning and designing. We will explore how to keep flowers fresh and how to decorate driftwood with succulents. Each student participates in hands-on activities, and projects created can be taken home. Activities include creating tissue flowers, wreaths, and floral arrangements.
