Education Code 28.004 (k) requires the district to publish in the student handbook and on the district's website the number of School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) meetings held during the previous year.
The duties of the SHAC range from recommending curriculum to developing strategies for integrating curriculum into a coordinated school health program encompassing school health services, counseling services, a safe and healthy school environment, and employee wellness. See policies FFA, BDF and EHAA.
Get involved!
One of the best parts of the CSH Program is the opportunity for staff, parents and community members to get involved and serve as active participants in the heath and well-being of students.
