Memorial Girls Flag Football Heads to NFL Stage
The Memorial High School Girls Flag Football Team is headed to Reliant Stadium for a special opportunity to compete on an NFL stage!
On Thursday, Aug. 20, the Mustangs will take on Pasadena South Houston during halftime of the Houston Texans preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The showcase comes during an exciting period of growth for girls flag football. Opportunities for female athletes are expanding at the youth, high school and collegiate levels, and the sport will make its Olympic debut at the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles.
For our Mustangs, taking the field at the home of the Houston Texans is an opportunity to represent Memorial and SBISD while joining a generation of student-athletes helping shape the future of the sport.
Good luck to our Mustangs as they take the field on Thursday!
