My SBISD Story: Bryan Williams, Associate Superintendent

Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD) has named Bryan Williams, Ed.D., as associate superintendent of administration and talent.

Dr. Williams brings more than 27 years of education experience and 19 years of service in SBISD to this role, including district leadership as a community superintendent.

He is a known and trusted leader across campuses and departments, with a deep understanding of the people, systems and daily work that support students and staff in SBISD.

“Bryan’s leadership is rooted in service, relationships and results,” said Jennifer Blaine, superintendent of schools.

“He understands our people, our schools and our community, and he brings both heart and high expectations to the work of developing the talent that makes our district a leader.”

Throughout his career, Williams has focused on high quality teaching, learning, leadership, access, opportunity and support for Every Child and every employee.

His leadership reflects the district’s long-standing commitment to ensuring students graduate T-2-4 ready and that schools are supported by strong, prepared education professionals.

Williams describes leadership through the lens of Collective Greatness.

“It means valuing, appreciating and embracing the gifts, talents, contributions and perspectives of others as we work together to achieve a common goal.”

He also values the role of mentorship in his own life and career, and the responsibility leaders have to invest in others.

He credits his mentor, Rosemary Davis Kelly, with teaching him the difference between being a role model and being a “role motor,” someone who takes action, creates progress and helps others move forward. That mindset continues to guide how he leads and serves.

In his new role, Williams will lead district efforts related to talent strategy, recruitment, development and retention, and leadership pipelines, ensuring SBISD continues to attract and support high-quality educators and staff across all roles.

Williams was also selected to participate in the Holdsworth Center’s Aspiring Superintendent Leadership Program (ASLP), a 15-month program designed to equip future superintendents with the skills, knowledge and experience to lead Texas districts with vision and purpose.

His appointment reflects SBISD’s continued focus on people-first leadership and building capacity across the district to support students, campuses and families.

Congratulations, Dr. Williams!
