Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD) is making remarkable progress in transforming our schools through two impactful bond programs: the 2017 Bond Program and the 2022 Bond Program. Both initiatives, supported by our community voters, are instrumental in creating modern, world-class educational environments that inspire and empower our students.
2017 Bond Program
Memorial Drive Elementary School Replacement Project:
Status: Officially opened in August 2024.
Sherwood Elementary School Replacement Project:
Status: Design Phase
Details: Plans include adding two additional classrooms to boost capacity, with construction slated to commence in early 2025.
Terrace Elementary School Replacement Project:
Status: Design Phase
Details: The new facility will accommodate 750 students, with construction expected to start in January 2026.
Woodview Elementary School Replacement Project:
Status: Construction Phase
Details: On track to open in January 2025.
Spring Branch Middle School Reroofing Project:
Status: Construction Phase
Details: Phase two is currently underway and anticipated for completion this calendar year.
Spring Woods Middle School Renovation Project:
Status: Construction Phase
Details: This two-phase project is scheduled for completion next summer.
Middle School Furniture Installation:
Details: New student and teacher furniture installation is planned for the summer of 2025 at several middle schools.
2022 Bond Program
The 2022 Bond Program is dedicated to delivering world-class learning spaces, particularly for our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming across the district. Notably, the program has also expanded classrooms at Valley Oaks Elementary School to better accommodate our students. Here are the updates on ongoing projects:
Valley Oaks Elementary School Addition and Renovation Project:
Status: Opened August 2024, enhancing classrooms and cafeteria space.
Northbrook High School CTE Project:
Status: Design Phase
Details: Ongoing programming meetings for this one-and-a-half to two-year project.
Stratford High School CTE Project:
Status: Design Phase
Details: Construction documents have been submitted for permitting.
Agricultural Science Center Addition and Renovation Project:
Status: Construction Phase
Details: On track for completion in Fall 2025, with temporary classrooms already installed.
Guthrie Center Replacement Project:
Status: Construction Phase
Details: Currently underway, with an anticipated completion in Summer 2027.
