On Friday, Sept. 5, at 11:00 a.m., the City of Houston Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will conduct a Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) test. This test will send a message to WEA-capable cell phones within Houston’s jurisdiction. The message is only a test — no action is required.
