The awards recognize outstanding education communications projects during the 2022-23 school year.

“I could not be more proud of our small-but-mighty SBISD Communications Team,” said Linda Buchman, SBISD Associate Superintendent for Communications and Community Relations. “They do stellar work every day to keep our community informed and engaged. They are most deserving of these great recognitions!”

This year, SBISD Communications received seven gold stars and two silver stars. TSPRA award winners were announced on Feb. 28, 2024 at the TSPRA Annual Conference in Sugar Land, Texas.

All submissions for TSPRA awards are evaluated by outside judges and winners are determined based on the TSPRA-established criteria. School districts across Texas compete in three categories based on total student population. SBISD competes in the 15,000 - 40,000 students category, which includes some of the largest urban school districts in the state.
