In 1981, Julie Hodson drove from Iowa to Houston for a Spring Branch ISD (SBISD) job fair, interviewed with a teacher recruiter and, just weeks later, accepted a teaching position. She packed up her belongings, towed a trailer back to Houston and began what would become a remarkable career in SBISD.
As we celebrate 80 years of excellence and endless possibilities, Julie reflects on that journey with one simple thought: "It was the best decision I ever made." Forty-six years later, her story is a reminder that one decision can shape a lifetime of impact.
