CITGO Winners

Five Spring Branch ISD (SBISD) students have been recognized by CTIGO and ABC13 as CITGO Distinguished Scholars for their outstanding achievements in academics, leadership, service, STEM, Career and Technical Education and the arts.

This recognition, which includes a $5,000 scholarship for each student, is especially meaningful because it celebrates the many ways students excel, from pursuing technical and STEM pathways to demonstrating leadership, serving others and shining through the arts.

Each student represents what is possible when talent, determination and opportunity come together.

Congratulations to these outstanding SBISD students:

  • Andrew Jesus Hernandez, Northbrook High School — Career and Technical Education

  • Olivia Marie Ceraudo, Stratford High School — STEM

  • Maria Ledezma, Westchester Academy for International Studies — Beating the Odds

  • Adam Emran El-Badawi, Westchester Academy for International Studies — Performing and Fine Arts

  • Miguel Angel Garcia, Westchester Academy for International Studies — Service and/or Leadership

We are grateful to ABC13 and CITGO for investing in students and creating opportunities to recognize their accomplishments.

Partnerships like these help shine a spotlight on young people, celebrate the many pathways to success and reinforce the importance of supporting the next generation of leaders. Learn more about partnering with SBISD here.
